1. Cost of securing a rental property (‘move in’ monies)

Holding deposit
A lessor (landlord) is not permitted to request or accept a holding deposit.

Rent in advance
A lessor can request that a tenant provides up to one calendar month’s rent in advance.

Bond (security deposit)
The bond required cannot exceed the first four weeks of rent.

Pet bond
No pet bond is required.
